It is very important to be aware of your thoughts. You could be having a great day and suddenly one negative can lead to another and have a snow ball effect on your state of mind. It wont be too long before your mind collapses like a house of cards and you start to feel depressed. Whenever you start to have negative thoughts try to shake them off immediately. Hit the delete button on them! Get rid of the trash right away. A mind that is burdened with worry, anxiety and stress will block you from thinking clearly. It will weigh you down. It is important to find healthy mechanism to cope with negative emotions. Music, walking, exercising, meditation, reading, writing in your journal or maybe talking to a friend or family member are some of the ways that can help. Sometimes just taking deep breaths and letting it go can help relax quickly too. A clear mind allows inspiration and creativity to flow. It is not easy getting rid of negative thoughts but practice makes one perfect!!
